Alex LaDouceur
Founder
Manufacturing is changing too quickly to stand still. The companies that thrive won’t be the ones that chase every new technology. They’ll be the ones that understand what should change, what shouldn’t, and turn the right ideas into something that actually works on the floor.
Alex works with manufacturers on operational problems that rarely sit inside one function. A delivery problem can start in engineering, a quality problem can start in the specification, and a capacity problem may have little to do with the equipment. He has led Webineering since it started in 2022, building a firm that works across those boundaries and stays accountable from understanding the problem through implementation.
Webineering still works that way. The people who run an assessment are the people who stay through implementation, and Alex still carries engagements himself.
At DuPont’s Circleville plant, he held senior engineering and engineering management roles on the $250 million Kapton and Pyralux expansion, a high-hazard continuous web line taken from design through construction, commissioning, and qualified production.
At Schlumberger, he progressed through engineering and operations roles in the completions division, ultimately taking responsibility for assembly, test, and refurbishment across deepwater completions product lines. The work combined serialized production, mandatory testing, and full traceability with an unpredictable stream of field returns competing for the same people and equipment as new production.
Some returns required routine refurbishment; others became complex failure investigations. In one significant deepwater safety-system investigation, Alex helped lead a multi-site, cross-functional effort spanning engineering, field operations, data analysis, simulation, machine learning, physical well testing, and supplier support. The work brought together evidence from across teams and operating environments to isolate the underlying failure mechanism. The result changed how the next generation of the product was specified, rather than simply how it was manufactured.
